our Story

The name High Pockets is derived from a story of a British woman who married an Ol' Arkansas country boy back in 1995. She was his bank teller back in the day, and she began to notice that every Friday he would come from his office all the way in Dallas to Rowlett to come and get free popcorn and sit by her desk and talk. A few weeks later he came by her apartment and asked her out on a date to the movies. She accepted, but instead he took her sight seeing around Lake Murray where he ran his bird dogs on the weekends. The rest from there is history. Over the years he had a couple of nicknames for her, but one stuck... She always wore dresses and suits since she worked at a bank, so one day he bought her a pair of pants and she just began to dance and spin around when she tried them on. He said, "Way to go High Pockets" because of how sassy she was acting. She thought it was hilarious, and from then on the nickname stuck, High Pockets. This little nickname turned into the name of their farm years later, where Scarlett was raised into the woman she is today. She wanted to continue their legacy by using their ranch name for her business, where she could forever share their love story. High Pocket Photography was rooted from a love story and continues to document love stories by sharing photographic memories of others friendships, families, celebrations, or their closest loved ones.
